Hey hey!

With another Sydney Writers Festival over, I’ve soaked up the inspiration and motivation from the authors to use for my own project, Connerd, my second book. I’m close to finishing another draft, a significiant one because there are a lot of key changes, namely a different ending. I can’t wait to go back over this draft to nut out the finer details and make it tighter and of course…funnier 🙂

The Writers Festival provided lots of good food for thought, I attended every session that had the word ‘digital’ and ‘ebook’ in it. Rest assured, the ebook is not the death of anything, and the new exciting age of digital books will co-exist with the paper books.  

The balance between writing and writing about writing (yes, that includes this blog) is about to get tipped over to the strictly writing side. As well as promoting Thai-riffic!, I’ll be dedicating most of my time on getting Connerd ready…

I’m going by the Garth Nix principle of ‘promoting the first book by writing another one’ 🙂
