Hallo!

I’ve started work on editing Thainomite, my editor Heather has marked my stories with thoughts and questions. It’s  a smoother process, knowing what I have to do at this stage of publishing. I’m not too worried if gags get chopped off here, it’s all about making each story ZING!

One thing I forgot to do was look after my new readers reading Thainomite, ones who haven’t read Thai-riffic! I wrote these stories, thinking they know who Rajiv and Mr Winfree is, but I just had to add in a few refreshers here and there. As this is my first sequel ever, I’m learning how to cater for new and old fans. I hope they both get something out of it.

I had my last school visits for the term in Perth. Every school was a gem.

I did a library talk and bookstore signing at Joonalup. The Dymocks guy said when he first took Andy Griffiths here, he had 10 people come to his talk. His most recent appearance had 400 kids, so I know that I have a long way to go in this writers journey. I’m loving each moment. I feel like rapper 2 Chainz, in awe of other magnificent authors out there, trying to carve out my own thing in the book game 🙂

This weekend, I’ll be going to the SCBWI conference, tweeting about the talks and excitement over the next few days, it’s gonna be huge! More goss on it soon!
