Han-loo!

I picked up Wendy’s book over in Thailand and it was complusory holiday reading. The story is divided up between three characters. Ally, a stargazer who wants to chase comets. Bree, a pretty queenbee who wants to be a model. Jack, a shy kid who doesn’t know what he wants to be yet.

They all come together to Camp Shadow, a campground to witness a total eclipse of the sun. It’s a life-changing event for all three kids as their lives collide. The three separate narratives work well and there’s plenty of talk of astrology that is actually interesting! It’s a lovely, heart-warming story.

I’m now keen to read more of Wendy’s work.
