Yo!
I’ve got a deadline for my second book, CONNERD…July 1st.
So now I can relax and hang on *flips through the calendar* ARGGHHHH *panic panic panic*
But it’s very cool to have a noose, I mean a deadline around my neck because it’ll push me to write this story and I do want CONNERD to come out in 2011.
The story’s been flowing, with lots of crazy events and scenarios being thrown in…it’ll all make sense in the next draft, that’s what I gotta believe hehe

I’ve got the green light to start planning a launch. I’m thinking somewhere in Newtown. I was leaning towards Thai-riffic! restaurant but a pub/hotel would perhaps be more suitable (don’t worry, there will still be Thai food!). Publishers usually don’t have launches in their marketing budget and that’s fair enough. A launch is more of a celebration with family and friends (that’s YOU) and it’ll give me a chance to welcome Thai-riffic! to the world!  Penguin will lend their love and support too, which I will appreciate heaps!
In more good news, I’ve been invited to be an author resident for Superclubs PLUS Australia (think of a very kid-friendly facebook/bebo) in June. Some of the cool things I’ll be doing will be blogging, answering questions in a hot seat forum and more excitedly, an online launch for Thai-riffic! Stay tuned for more info…

I’ll be blogging for the ABC’s Bookshow very soon, around the time of the Sydney Writers Festival. So I’ll be knee deep in writers and books, just what every writer needs 🙂 I’ll relay links to these separate blogs, so you can keep up to date with my funsense!

I’m meeting up with my techbrains Joshua and Irene, to spice up my website over the weekend. Yeah, it won’t be as flashy as the others, but if I can do it  myself, I promise it’ll be up to date and well…wordpress is just a wonderbox away for me. I’ll unlock the code very soon-I hope.
