Last night we had the literary dinner to finish off the Whitsunday Festival. It was a grand affair, I didn’t realise everyone would decked in black and white, meanwhile I had my flashy blue shirt and star wars sneakers on haha.

I gave a short talk before dinner but we were all here to see Nick Earls speak and he turned up to deliver it after feeling so unwell.

Luckily he came because I wanted him to sign my book too hehe.

Mackay convention centre was covered with winter wonderland settings but the real highlight was dessert. It’s a delicious book. Best. Idea. Ever.

If only all books tasted this good!

It was almost too good to eat, but I gave in hehe.

I’m now at Thomas North Library for a public book signing with the other authors, what a way to cap off a wonderful three days in Mackay!
