Hey ya!

Where did that first month go? I tried to cram in as much gaming as I could in the school hols. The only writing commitment I had was an online session for the public libraries. That was crazy, random questions being asked by kids all across Australia (ie. Yoda or Spongebob?). It was all good fun though, I bet the kids loved it!

So now that it’s back to school, things are starting to get serious. I’ve just written the dedication and acknowledgments for Punchlines. So it’s finally ready to go! There were a few more notes and slight changes with my editor Heather but it’s now off to the printers. I can’t wait to show you the cover and finished book 🙂

Some great news, I’ve got a creative fellowship with the May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust! I’ll be going to Adelaide for a whole month to work on my 6th novel (more on that soon). I can’t wait to get writing and also promote the May Gibbs Trust through some events.

My latest project is Nothing’s Prefect, my 5th book that is out next year. It’s getting there, a case of nailing the first draft so I can work on the second one with confidence. So it looks like my year’s finally get started and the writer inside me has awoken!
