Nerds unite!

Last Sunday marked one year of cHEwY creations and being an author and I celebrated with a book launch for my second book Con-nerd 🙂 At Shearers Bookshop and their cool kids section, I was there early to decorate and um, bring the food over.

My family catered for the event again 🙂

My family and friends from all circles of my life were there to help me bring Con-nerd into the real world. It was a great way to finish off his first month.

Chris Cheng was a legend in launching the book for me, drawing many parallels from his own life with Connor’s. Chris has a long career in the industry, writing heaps of books and is sort of like a mentor for me, I’ve always admired how he keeps on setting the world on fire with his passion! My editor Heather and Chris go way back so it was a nice touch.

My toys came out to play, thanks Shearers for letting me spread some chaos!

I’m extremely lucky to be surrounded with some many friends and fans who continue to support me. I’ll never take it for granted and it keeps me going to make you all proud of me.

So now it’s on to book number three and I’m going through another draft of Punchlines, ready to give it to Penguin in July. I can’t wait to tell you all about it very soon!
